My practice sits at the intersection of art and design and explores the fusion, balance and harmony of textured, poised, haptic and chromatic compositions, images and sculptural assemblages, what I like to refer to as ‘tactile tensions’. These sculptural moments, some temporal, some fixed are amorphous shapes or bodies of matter and form, which allude to, or exist in relation to the site of the human body with their suggestive forms and use of desirable tactile surfaces and materials.

As a sculptor I am captivated by the transformative properties of the materials I work with, the liquid to solid states and the magic of chemical transformation through heat, time, atmosphere and the force, energy and presence of the maker.
